Devon Swasey

Devon Swasey was born in Manchester, Jamaica in the beautiful West Indies.  As a child, he grew up on natural and organic foods from his family’s farms. He grew up with health and wellness as a way of life, spending seven years in Nassau, Bahamas before returning to Jamaica and eventually moving to the United States.

In the US, Devon attended Passaic County Technical & Vocational High School, where he studied Drafting & Commercial Art.  While there, he was an active member of the track and cross country teams. Devon's interest in weight training & boxing, however, began in his family garage many years ago. At that time, he began studying the sport of boxing and trained himself into 'fighter's shape'. Realizing how effectively his own body responded to strength training, he decided that he wanted to help others.

Health and fitness has always been Devon’s primary interest. He began seriously studying and training in 2010 through industry-leading programs, NASM and ISSA, where he received his Personal Training and Strength & Conditioning Certifications. Learning the body and understanding muscle science makes Devon's style of training unique. His cutting edge approach to functional strength and conditioning allows him to create some of the most effective exercise combinations and programs around - all the while prioritizing safety and injury prevention. Come experience the results for yourself, Devon will only BUILD you up and never let you down!

Niki Swasey

Niki played multiple sports at Central Catholic High School and moved on to play Division 1 Collegiate Softball at Temple University. Niki tore her left ACL while practicing indoors during the winter of 1997 and literally had to learn how to walk again. She endured six gruesome months of intense physical therapy, rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and massage therapy. This experience triggered her interest in the body and training.

Because of this, learning the intricate workings of the body has been a life mission for Niki. While studying Sport and Recreation Management with a Minor in Marketing at Temple University, Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology Biomechanics and Neuromotor Science coursework led Niki to fall in love with this amazing machine God created: the body.

After her corporate careers in marketing for Comcast-Spectacor and sales for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, she moved back home to care for her ill mother and Niki decided to change career focus. She began to study massage therapy and rehabilitation at Health Options Institute. Upon graduating, she worked as an independent therapeutic massage therapist for a holistic chiropractor in Allentown. Proving her knowledge of the body and demonstrating extreme success in improving pain parameters in patients, Niki solely increased their massage business by 64%, which landed her a full-time job overseeing their rehabilitation center. To see the patients she worked with free from pain and suffering was such a blessing. Massage and rehabilitation was the most rewarding work in her arsenal until now!

PARTNERSHIP

Niki and Devon met in 2015 at Life Church, Macungie Campus. They began training together locally for about a year and a half while assisting others. On June 1, 2016, they formed a business partnership. Niki’s experience in massage therapy and knowledge of biomechanics combined with their shared devotion to health and fitness led them to launch 1COR6:19 FITNESS, LLC.

Devon and Niki are the owners and trainers of 1COR6:19.  They look forward to meeting new clients and working with existing clients to help them achieve their personal health and wellness goals.
